I have a question about the batteries, I'm going to pick the laptop up tonight, and go over to my grandmothers, I take her dinner once a week, usually Tuesday, but I'm busy tomorrow.

Now I'm gonna wanna mess with it tonight when I'm there, and what my question is, do I need to have the battery in the laptop if I want to use it, or can I have it out and do a direct AC power source.

    If not

Do the batteries come charged, or would I need to charge it.

Reason I ask, I know some things, if you don't let them charge fully, say it says, charge till green or whatever, and you don't let it, it'll never charge fully like it should, and considering batteries aren't cheap, I don't want to mess it up.

Basically all I want to do is turn it on, make sure everything works, and then shut it off.

You should be fine charging the batteries while using the laptop. The A/C adaptors are capable of powering the system as well as charge the battery. It will take longer to charge the battery but it doesnt hurt the battery any(atleast I havent noticed any side effects, my battery on my R3000Z is more than 2.5yrs old and still retains 75% charge).

i usually keep the battery out unless im going to use it.. makes the unit alot lighter and possibly lengthen the batterys life (from too much charging and discharging when you plug it in & out)

No, it will be fine. The battery stops charging when it reaches full capacity.
