Hi - I own a Compaq Presadio V2000 notebook computer. Last year I experienced power issues. It turns out that the pin was bent and they had to replace the entire mother board. Fortunately, my computer was under warranty.

That was in June 2006. Now it seems to be an issue again. Am I the only one with this problem? They said I keep my computer on my knees, which is causing the problem. I looked at the power cord and it seemed damaged, so I bought a new one today. It sort of works but it reverts to battery if I move the computer. It seems like the power cord is isn't very snug but I'm worried that it may be a pin issue and needs an expensive replacement/repair.

    Anyone else with this problem?

    Thanks

I have l2000, exactly the same notebook but black, and I don't the issue. There is an alternative way to supply power through the expansion port but you need to ask HP where to get the cable from.
