First let me say parts are hard to come by out in the middle of Baghdad.....

A while back my laptop power supply broke and I replaced it. I got the new one and then a couple things happened: Battery doesn't work. It reports it at all sorts of chraged states in the panel but doesn't charge or work on battery at all.
Also when I shut my laptop off, I have to hit the power buttons a couple times to get it to turn on. I'll hit the button and everything will light up for a few seconds before losing power. I'll repeat this a few times before it finally stays on and boots up. Any clue whats wrong and how I can fix it?

If this didn't happen before you got a new power adapter I would suspect that its a faulty or incompatible adapter.

Its gotta be the power adapter. Either its the wrong type or its the right type but defective. I assume its defective.
You should try to get another adapter.

Nope, not power adapter. I'm thinking it has somethin to do with the motherboard where the power is, or where he switch is.
