Ppl who have a custom HP from Costco

How long did it take to ship?

i ordered on the 16th, my card was charged on the 24th (which they say they do when it ships) and it first said it was shipping on the 27th, but of course, no tracking.

i live in california. just curious what the experience has been, i'm dying in anticipation.

I ordered my laptop on march 24th and they just shipped it today 29th

they didn't give me a tracking number yet tho =/

 

Merkaba, I presume yours is retail dmo's is customized to order? I'd anticipate about a week for them to build custom computers and a week for shipping.

 

nope, I customized my dv8000t. I'm pretty shocked because the estimated shipping date was april 8th

 

i had 2 GBs of RAM and the 2 Ghz duo, both of which slow it down, i think

 

does anyone know where it ships from? I really wish they provided a tracking number so I would know when to expect it.

dmo, I'm not sure if that effects it or not. I did the 2Ghz and 2GB ram, with 100gig HD and the highest rez screen

 

i think back when i ordered it they didn't have enough 2ghz duos. they must have gotten a big shipment around the 24th.

I ordered a dv1000t on March 17th, and it still hasn't shipped.

I'm sure it depends in part on which model you ordered.

(I can be very patient, as long as I don't have to wait.....)

I ordered on March 23, received shipping confirmation email March 29...but no tracking info on the Costco website. I just called Costco customer service (800-955-2292) and they gave me the FedEx tracking number. The rep had no idea why their website didn't have it. So call them.

I ordered on 3/5. It was shipped 3/18 and I got it on 3/21.

It ships from China.

Is there an international warranty on this laptop?
I plan to order it on Costco US from Canada. Shall I be covered by HP Canada (or Costco Canada) if I order from US?

 

Kool...I'm glad you guys called and got the tracking info Maybe they'll get sick of us calling and update their website, like they should have from the begining.

 

My computer arrived this morning. The tracking said it will be here on monday but I can't complain if they come early!! =]

right now I'm installing and cleaning up a bunch of ****. I'm not reinstalling the OS so I'm going to have to find another way to get rid of all that bloatware

I ordered the dv1000t, March 17th, and there's been NO change to my status... In Process!

They haven't billed my card, and no indication the laptop is any closer to being shipped.

Just wondering if the other models are shipping faster then the dv1000t?

just an update. I got my dv5000t (T2500) from Costco, and I love it. they forgot to include the second connecting piece for my second AC adapter, but we'll sort that out.

but a word on billing and shipping. i ordered on the 17th. they charged my card on the 24th. it shipped on the 27th. on the 28th, the charge disappeared from my card. it was delivered the morning of the 31st (but watch out, costco deleted my apt number from the address and the Fedex guy said they do that all the time, and they're not supposed to deliver w/o an apt number) and then my card was charged again on the 31st. so for a couple days i thought i was getting a free 'puter. not so.

 

oh, and merkaba's got the dv8000t.

 

yep, and I love it =]

it came alot earlier than expected too which was nice
