    Hi. I had another thread started concerning the Evo 160 but now I have a Presario 1700T ( which is basically an Evo 160 but with a few spec differences) doing the same thing. Which is:
    When I start the laptop with just ram inserted it boots up fine, goes to bios and all. However, as soon as I put in a hddrive, wether it is blank or has an operating sytem on it, all the lights by the power button come on solid and I get a black screen. All 3 of these Compaq's are doing this! All of them were purchased off Ebay, from different seller's from various places around the country. None of the other laps I have do this. I just find it odd that I get this same reaction from three seperate laps that for all purposes are the exact same model!!
