    i have a Compaq Presario 2195us and i want to install windows 7 ultimate. is it capable of being installed or no? ive looked all over online and i havent found much.

    Even with the memory maxed at 1GB, it's going to be sluggish

    I'm not too sure about Ultimate and that 256 MB of RAM. I did install Win7 starter 32-bit on a Dell Latitude D610 with 1.7 GHz Pentium M and 1GB of RAM and I must admit that I'm rather impressed. It actually runs rather well.

    There is a test you could run to see if your laptop is Win7 ready.
