According to CPU-Z my Presario C799TU is running dual channel 2x1gb memory running at only 266mhz, yet the memory supports 333mhz. is there any way to change the speed of the memory via cmos settings? I had a look in the setup and there were very little configuration options so was wondering if there is a special key to press or something to unlock more.

You are limited by your bus speed of the processor which is only capable of 533MHz, so your memory downclocks to match that plus there wont be any benefit even if it was possible to run the memory at 333MHz when you are going to be limited by the bus at 266MHz.

    Give SetFSB a shot...

Remember that increasing the FSB will also increase your cpu clocks and will result in higher temperatures and power consumption...use it at your own risk.
