    Presario R3320US crashing

    ...or maybe I should say 'powering off'... just started recently, figures, the warranty expired 2 weeks ago! It comes without warning, a couple of days ago it did it 3 times in one day, today it did it once. It just turns off suddenly without warning. Have any of you experienced this with your Presario? I had another older presario that did something similar, and turns out it was a very common problem with that model, motherboard related... it eventually quit for good.

    Thoughts?

    Check the power connector and clean the battery connectors. A fresh install of Windows will help if it is a software issue.

    Could be heat. What does MobileMeter say your CPU temp gets up to? It's probably time to clean out the CPU heatsink fins. See the service guide for how to get to that. Be sure to unplug and remove the battery first.
