    Presario Screen dims on AC power.

    My Compaq dims when on ac power and brightens when on battery power.Seems like something is screwy.I can adjust the brighness levels by using FN F7/F8 but the setting don't stick.I even checked the bios, nothing is working.Any ideas?

    check your power plan. it's more than possible for things to get changed.

    additionally, the default power plans will often dim the screen after X minutes even when on AC.
