I just got a Compaq Presario V6030US two days ago from CircuitCity (with no warranty :( ) Well I keep hearing a high pitched noise (Sort of like a whine) coming from the speaker area. It happens when I load something up, open a new window, or like go from one website to another. I thought it was the hard drive at first, but after putting my ear next to the speaker area, I'm definately sure it's coming from the speakers. I went to the Support site, and downloaded the latest sound drivers and I still have the same problem. Does anyone know anything about this, and could offer me any help? (I have 12 days to return it and get a new one)
Also, another thing, the Nvidia Control Panel shows that my 6150 is 75 degrees CELSIUS

If you bought the laptop new(not refurb/or you voided the warranty), then you should have 1yr warranty from HP. As for the sound, it can be normal in some cases, capacitors do make some noise and especially with the such power packed in there can be such whines. May people with the Core 2 Duo even have reported hearing such whining noises and undervolting the processor seems to have cured the issues for some. If the sound is not too loud, its not something to worry about but if it is too loud then contact HP to try and get it fixed under warranty or return it to CC and try your luck with another one.

Your GPU temps are fine. It is most likely passively cooled, so they will run a bit warm. In any case, Nvidia specified critical temp for the 6150 is 125C, so anything below 90C is fine for the GPU.
