i purchased a compaq presario c700 around 6 months ago, and have since had the hard drive replaced twice due to different problems. however, one thing i have always noticed with this laptop is that the free hard disk space available alters greatly. one minute i have 110 gb free, the next it has gone down to 90 gb available, having not installed, removed or changed any programs, or without having even shut down the laptop :( . as i like to keep my laptop as efficient as possible, i was wondering if is this anything to worry about, and how i could possibly stop this from happening.

    many thanks
