    Folks,
    I have a Presario v3010us, how do you make an external LCD monitor work on this laptop? i've been using vga connector to no avail, the external monitor gets a signal - led turns green then turns amber right away.

    The laptop had a MB replacement when HP/Compaq issued the recall a while back. It is running XP/sp3; 2gb RAM & 100gb hdrive.
