My old Presario x1000 laptop is on its last legs and is being replaced soon due to the hold-down-the-case-above-f6 video problem.

The LCD is a really nice panel and I'd like to repurpose it after I retire the machine.
I figure there has to be a way to wire the harness into a DVI and Power connector so I can use the display after I retire the laptop.

I've gotten the part number (337004-001) and the disassembly instructions from the maintenance manual, but have not been able to find a spec sheet on the part or a pin-out on the connector.

Google wasn't much help unless I wanted to buy one, which I don't.

Does anyone out there know where to find spec sheets or pin-out information on old LCD panels like this?

    Thanks,
    -D69

One word you need lvd convert and they not cheap
sell the panel on ebay or scrap it

you better off buying lcd model

no you can,nt just make cable to match pinout on dvi 15 inch

lcd have controler broads in desktop display that handle converting

    Bummer, Thanks.

    It's not too unstable.

I suppose I can strip the covers off and do some sort of steampunk mod to make it look cool once I replace it.
I could stabilize the connector at that point. It's the only part that seems to be unstable.
