    PresarioV3010UA starts as soon as a/c power plugged in intermitently

    Really frustrating .Battery out, plug in ac and fan starts, blue leds come on. Black screen. This can happen 5 times in a row and then voila it starts.Works fine untill shut down. Sometimes I have to leave it for a half hour and then try again.Other times it starts normally with the on/off switch.
    Win XP pro.All HP updates and a new bios.No change.

    I'd say motherboard failure, it has nvidia chips. Backup everything now, as long as the computer works at all.
