The battey comes in a Hi-Capacity box (part #B-5842), has official looking HP labels on it. Windows Power Management says it's a "HP Primary manufactured 8/29/2006". After boot up and sitting idle for 3 minutes I'm getting 4 hours of run time with my NHC tweaked settings on lowest LCD brightness.

edit: the website says 4400mAH, but the box label and the battery say 4700mAH.

I also ordered an extra AC power adapter, which wasn't the right part (wrong connector, made by HI CAPACITY, part # AC-C14). I contacted them this morning and the RMA process is already underway. I sent them the HP part#s off of my original adapter and they said they don't have the correct adapter, but they will be looking into getting it.

Overall, a thumbs up for the store (shipped promptly, great communication, great price) and the battery (recently manufactured, offical HP, better runtime out of box than battery that comes with the notebook).

after a discharge - recharge the run time is now 3:20, a little calibration is all it needed. Recharge took a little less than 2 hours.
