    Printer problem

    I have pavilion dv6602 au laptop and a hp 3745 printer. At first when i used to connect them i was able to print properly. But when i connect now i am not able to print. It says that printing but nothing is printing and sometimes it doesn't shows only anything. Why is this so. Anything new required. Pls tell me. Bye.

    It could be several things. Cycle the power on the printer, make sure there is paper in the feeder and it has enough ink. The printer nozzles may need to be cleaned. (There should be a utility for this) See if your pc still shows the printer. Close the application and try sending a new print job.

    Restart the printer and laptop. If that doesn't work re-install the drivers. Also make sure you make it your Default printer.

    The drivers only are the big deal. I am having vista and it has drivers for all printers inbuilt only. I have to choose from them only. Also the driver cd which i got with my printer works on xp only and not on vista. Are hp products like this only. Pls help. And what is power cycle. Pls tell me.

    try downloading the drivers from your printer manufacturer's website

    i did that also but they say that vista will automatically detect the drivers so there is no drivers 4 vista

    Try:
    1. Shut off printer.
    2. Unplug printer's USB cable.
    3. Restart Windows.
    4. Plug in printer's USB cable.
    5. Turn on printer. You should see notifications that printer was found and is ready to use.

    Or you can always delete the printer, uninstall drivers/software, and then reinstall it all.

    Power cycle means turning the power off by unplugging it from the power source or by pressing the power button until the device turns off.

    My issue still not resolved. I installed the print utility but in the option wherein we have to select our device no device is found over there. Pls help me with other tips.
