    Hi- Can someone tell me what's the EASIEST way for me to print wirelessly from my compaq v6000t and my canon ip3000 which is hooked up to my desktop PC? I have a wireless router - do I still need this thing? thanks in advance. This forum has been tremendously helpful and I am VERY HAPPY with my new LAPPY !!!

    Also, does it matter that I'm running XP on my desktop and VISTA Premium on my laptop?

    You don't need to buy a print server. Just share your printer from your desktop and you should be to print over the network. It will require that the desktop be on.

    You can absolutely "Share" the printer from your XP machine without having to buy a print server... the only problem might be getting the printer drivers to get along between the Vista driver and the XP one. That can cause headaches in some cases, but doesn't effect everyone. All you can do is try...
