    I just saw that I have problem in Event Viewer - Error reporting;

    GetPanelBrightnessTables() failed : e_BIOS_INVALID_COMMAND_TYPE

    Im not alone.. HP support doesen't respond:
    HP WA Services Err 0 - HP Support Forum

    So check your Event Viewer HP users and report. :D

    BUMP!

    Why Is It so hard tor reply/discuss/to check your own event viewer and post in this thread?

    Even so called "free 100-MAN-TEAM HP support day" can figure It out.
    This Is clearly a HP Brightness control panel software problem. That is craply integrated into MS windows laptop control panel. Hope that this errors won't lead to laptop malfunction?

    perhaps because we don't care......

    making blanket statements on the basis on a conversation between three users on an HP forum, NONE of which went through any kind of troubleshooting process is hardly a reasonable start for saying "all HP laptops affected".

    I have never used Event Viewer so I have no idea how to use it neither.

    I get this on my envy 14.

    It doesn't seem to cause any issues.

    If you don't use the wireless assistant I assume you can just uninstall it (or just don't let it start its service or whatever).

    It's probably just some bug in the HP WA software that will never be fixed.

    I don't see it in my event log. I don't have the wireless assistant.

    None here

    Is it "critical", "error" or "warning"?

    Event ID?
