I have a Compaq V2565US , a Circuit City specific model of the V2000z. About 1.5 years old.

On 2 occassions the laptop failed to power on with the AC plugged in. From reading posts, I thought motherboard was fried but then I removed the battery and it started. The power meter says the battery is at 100%, but regardless the AC was plugged in both times.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

I google and I read many posts about the motherboards going bad right after warranty - so got a little scared...
