Problem With My HDX Dragon Only To Weeks Old And Cracked:(

Hi i bought the HDX Dragon/9120EA only about to weeks ago and i'v just noticed a crack in the front besel right above the webcam lens a nice clean crack right though from top to the bottem

Just wondering if this is just mine or are others cracked in the same place

Also im at a bit of a loss of what to do about it as i paid £1.6050 for it only to weeks ago and a crack in the besel straight away is not good what would you do about it

PS my laptop has only been used in my house on my knee so has not been knocked about or miss tret

Call HP customer support and tell them. They should cover that, especially because it is so new. It sounds as if this wasn't a incident that you dropped or mishandled the laptop, but the quality of it is in question.

Anymore idea's please some of you out there must have the same laptop have a look and tell if its cracked in the same place please

 

Can you post a picture of it? I'll check mine out when I get home, I use it at home a lot and haven't seen it in bright light for a few days sooooooo I better check!

Did it just appear overnight or something?

Viking here is the pic of my problem, and yes i just noticed the crack it may of even been there from new. Its not the sort of thing you look for, just i was having problems with my webam like everyone else here, and thats how i found the crack looking at the camera.

if its new, then i think warranty could cover it. i have a similar looking (atleast from the pic u provided) "crack" on my dv9500. it saddened me for a day, but then i was over it. i think it happened because i dropped my phone on it or something.

 

Dude, just call HP and tell them about it, and if you bought the accidental coverage make sure they don't take that away for repairing it.

 

I just noticed mine is also cracked, What the Hell !!!! Right above the camera. Has anybody called HP on this, this is a brand new computer.

 

Don't mess around just return it ASAP as is your right with in 21 or 30 days read your warranty rights carefully. Just order a new one if you otherwise like the machine.

 

I have exactly the same problem, a crack just above the webcam lens! Pissed me right off, glad that you have it too, that means it's obviously a fault in the hardware right?

 

It seems like it is a design/hardware fault. If you are within the 21 days just return it and get a new one, and if you aren't I would call HP and tell them about it.

 

Yes call hp as i was told to they where very cool about it they come out picked it up and had it back to me in only 3 day and that was fixing my bezel fixing my quick play short cut keys and webcam problems not bad at all i know just where your coming from drookwaters pissed me of to m8
