    Hi,
I decided to update the nvidia drivers because I couldn-t play a game I wanted to .
In the middle of the installation the computer crashed.
After that I coulnd-t log in anymore in Windows.

So I entered in the recovery console and I haven-t a previous security step saved nor a backup, so I decited to install Windows again.
But I didnd-t know that it erased the whole partition to do it, so I stopped when it said 0% completed.

Is there any chance I can fix windows without erasing the whole partition and loose my date in the way?
From an Ubuntu live cd, now I only can see the Windows directory with all my data, but not other directories that I had in my hard disk.
    Best regards,
    Carla

Can't you just pick restore off the recovery disc instead of recover? Because you should be able to, if it works it won't delete anything.
