So i just picked up an external 15" dell monitor for use as a second screen. I am running ultramon and sometimes my external screen gets a blue tint to it. Its not the monitor pixels because if i push the menu button on the monitor, all of the menus are regular color. Any help or advice? Thanks.

Try a different monitor see if it does the same thing.

I ordered the 18 hdx without the TV Tuner. Is there a part I can order to place inside the laptop?

Also, I am thinking of picking upa quad core CPU for less than $200 and install it myself.

    Thoughts?

Sorry but you will need to create your own thread or post in the HDX18 owners lounge.

Try this, right click desktop, personalization, display settings, advanced, color management, then remove any profile:

Also insatll driver for your monitor, this should fix the problem if that's the problem.

alright so i was checking out the profiles, and there has got to be easily 15-20 different profiles. Nothing bad is going to happen if I delete them?

I am also going to search for a drive for the monitor when i return to my dorm. I dont know the model number off the top of my head.

Thanks for the help. If anyone else has any advice, feel free to post it.
