Have you had any problems with the wired nic on the x1000/zt3000/nx7000, especially when using Bittorrent, eDonkey2000, or anyother multi-threaded transfer program? I have read a lot on the x1000forums at the link: http://www.x1000forums.com/index.php?showtopic=1636 and I am worried that this problem could completely change my opinion of the zt3000. I plan to use the wired network quite a bit and this sort of problem could completely change my opinions. I would like to hear how many people this affects. Please reply with whether you are using Bittorrent or any of the programs and what version of the drivers you are using. Please note that I only want experiences with the wired network, not the wireless. Thanks.

    kf_man,

You may want to consider using the wireless nic instead. It operates at 11mbps which is most likely faster than your cable/dsl connection and therefore will not bottleneck the performance. I share my DSL connection using wired & wireless without any problems. Bittorrent has also been used on the wireless (not on the notebook, USB wireless on a desktop) for approx. 20hrs straight downloading multiple items without any problems.

yeah, i'm gonna setup a 54g network soon, but not right away, I have all the wiring in for the AP, I just need to buy it. I'm just a little disappointed that these problems exist in a $2200 machine. This is my first laptop and I expected a level of perfection. I had also assumed that the NIC would never be a problem so I didn't even look into that at all. I will probably by a PC Card NIC for when I need to do Bittorrent and other tasks. Thanks for you help.
