I would be more than happy to buy someone a $5 Steam game or paypal them $5 if they can help me out with this.

About a month ago, my HDD crapped out, or so I thought. It wasn't being recognized by the BIOS and my computer would no longer start up. I purchased a new OCZ Vertex 4 SSD today and started the install of Windows 8 off my flash drive. It recognized the new hard drive at first and began to install. After my computer rebooted, I ran into the same problem, the BIOS won't recognize my new SSD and my computer won't start. I tried the OCZ firmware updater and it didn't detect the SSD either. I've tried removing the CMOS battery to no avail.

Has anyone else had this problem, anything to try?

Its most likely HDD connector is at fault here or slot where hdd connector goes into.

Have you tried a different SATA cable just to isolate the issue? OR have you tried same hdd on another computer?
