Hi, I have a HP Pavilion DV2125nr. The LCD broke so I replaced it. Since I have been having some odd problems. It will either work or not work. Most the time when I power on the laptop the screen never turns on. The power light comes on and the lights on the media touch board. I disconnected the lcd lid open connector. But this didnt solve anything. I did notice that whenever you press any of the media touch buttons it makes a faint buzz or beep type sound, almost like feedback. I removed the battery and disconnected the cmos battery for about 48 hours. But still it will not get video and the media touch buttons continue to make a noise when pressed. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks.

No, I was unable to get an external monitor to work on it.

Assuming you remembered to hit Fn-F4 to cycle external/internal display after (if?) the notebook booted, I'd guess that your NVIDIA chipset is fried and HP will need to replace the motherboard. See the link I posted previously.
