    Problem with compaq presario v6700. Need help

    Hi. I am using compaq presario v6700 notebook. Few days ago i updated bios from hp original site. But now i am facing some problems. Like when i insert bios by pressing f10, then i noticed some options are missing. I compared with my friend's notebook. I can not see the fan control option . Now the system fan keeps always on and killing my battery charge, the fan sound is too noisy. Also the sata boot option is missing. . Thats why i can not install xp or other operating system. It says no local hard disc found. What can i do now ?

    You can try flashing back the older version of your BIOS or you can slipstream the SATA drivers into a XP disc so it can see your SATA hard drive.

    Just download and execute the old version of the BIOS installer.
