When I'm anywhere outside of my home network and I try to open the connect menu to choose where to connect, it can take 10-15 minutes to open and then it will take another 5 minutes just to connect. I don't know if anyone knows anything that I can do about it but any help is appreciated. I have the dv9500t if that makes a difference.

Which wireless card do you have? You may just have a weak signal.
