    Problem with instaling OS from HD

    I have a HP Pavilion DV 9060ea(which have a option to boot from HD for recover the system).The problem is,when I restart the computer i can't see the comand :press F11 for recovery of winXp from the HD.
    When I press F11,nothing happend...any idea? How to fix it?
    P.S. sorry for my bad English,thank you in advance. :confused:

    Are you still using the factory Windows XP or did you install it yourself using a retail disc? Did you change any of the partitions or install any other OS? If us to any of the above two questions then the recovery partition process wont work. For the HDD based recovery system to work you wil need to have the system to have the default MBR, if this has changed then the retore system wont work and you will have to use the recovery discs you burnt to set the syatem back to factory state.

    Happened to me too. Installed Vista on a seperate partition on my OS drive to dual boot and now the recovery partition wont work when I press F11.
