I think that as a result of trying a couple programs to display the time I had left on my battery, one of the programs deleted the start up value that makes the battery indicator show up in the task bar. The check box under Power Options for the indicator always being in the task bar is checked. When I uncheck it, apply, then re-check it and apply it shows up for me. The next time I hibernate or restart it goes away again though. :( Does anybody know the name of the .exe so I can manually add it to my start-up list, or even better know what is causing my problem?

Also.. TaskBarRepairToolPlus! makes the icon show up when I run the "show all icons" utility. But again it doesn't last though a restart.

    Thanks for the help!

I did one last search on google using a different strong of terms and I solved my problem. It was acutally microsoft.com that referenced a problem it noticed with the power icon in the task bar being blocked when UPnP is enabled. Their solution is to disable UPnP, which I had no problem with since all it seems to do for me is let me know it can see my router (yay!!). So anyways, problem solved.
