I'm currently having a problem where my computer is not recognizing my ATI 5650. While booted under Ubuntu, it is detected, but not while under Windows 7. I do have the drivers installed for the 5650. Any idea why this is happening? Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Are you using the drivers from HP and only the drivers from HP? If you installed the GMA HD driver from Intel's website, that's the issue.
Also, does the switchable graphics option show up when you right click your desktop? I should note that the 5650 won't be visible in the device manager while running on Intel graphics. -
I may have, in frustration, tried installing the drivers from ATI. I never went on Intel's site though. Perhaps I grabbed the Intel drivers from the driver forum. How would I go about cleaning out my graphic drivers to reinstall the ones from HP?

I was under the impression that switchable graphics did not work with Ubuntu?

Theres workarounds for it to work in Ubuntu but I don't really mess with it. I tried getting it working to no avail so I just let it go. I only need the Intel graphics in Ubuntu anyway.

Anyone have any ideas?
