Okay, first of all, I have the V2000Z with the AMD Turion ML-37. Is that the same as V2000Z CTO? I'm not sure what CTO stands for and which model to pick from the list to update the drivers.

I think I messed up my processer driver. I think I updated to the recent AMD processer driver dated for 10-28-05. Later on I read more carefully and it said it was for dual core AMDs.

The problem is before I updated the driver, my frequency on Mobilemeter would show 800, 1.6, or 2.0 and the temperature was around 37-39 with my Antec cooller. But now, after update, the frequency stays at 2.0 and the temperature stays at 44 even with the cooler. I tried to rollback the driver, but it didn't do much.

Can someone please point me towards the right page to update drivers for my laptop? Last time I entered in the producut number to search for my drivers, it came up to V2300 CTO PC Notebook. I'm just really confused.

CTO=Configure to Order. Download Notebook Hardware Control and set it to Dynamic Switching.

The AMD drivers should be compatible with other lower processors.

If you want to re-install the older drivers, remove the new drivers(from Control Panel, Add/Remove).. then re-install from the drivers and application disc that came with your laptop.

Thanks. I'll try both if one or the other doesn't help.

K, downloaded NHC and it was already set to dynamic switching. So I'm just gonna uninstall and reinstall the old driver.

I did not know the Notebook Hardware Control has added support for AMD processor.
