I started having this problem recently after changing some things from starting up using services.msc and I think I disabled something I was not suppose to, before I did any changes when I lowered the volume on the HDX I would actually see the graphics for it, but now I am not able to, and also I don't think I am able to control the Bass & Treble using the touch controls, so anyone using and HDX can you tell me what services I need in order for this to work, thanks.

I was hoping someone would be able to tell me what services need to be enabled for the audio to work fine, because from what I see, the services I have disabled seem not to have anything to do with audio.

First of all it is not a service that is going to be the problem. It will a program from msconfig. So you want to make sure that mediasmart is starting up. Also make sure that you audio driver software is starting up too.

I figured it out, the on screen display only shows up when you have Hp Advisor running, since I stopped it from start up it didn't show up, thanks for the help though.
