Ok, so my hard drive recently failed, and I had to do a clean install on my computer. However, there were many issues with my install....

for one, how do I get the switchable graphics to work?

Secondly, when I install the synaptics drivers, the light on the trackpad doesn't go off.

Also, where is the beats audio option? is there a driver that I have to download for it?

Graphics- download the driver on HP's website for the combo AMD/Intel.

    2. I have no idea. I ran into this problem as well

    3. I think it's one of the packages on HP's website.

PS. Did you ever get the WiFi to work? I tried a clean install, but could never get the Wifi to work. The computer kept saying that the hardware wifi button was off, but the wifi button never did anything. I ended up doing a complete system restore from HP's recovery DVDs

Go to HP&Compaq section of the forums, then into the driver section, then into the Envy14 page. Download all the required drivers and install them (AMD graphics, IDT, synaptics, etc.)

    Thanks for the tips guys.

My wifi is working fine. The light is showing, but the other buttons, such as the mute, isn't.

You need HP Quick Launch. You can find everything on the first page of the Envy 14 Owner's Lounge..
