So, when I put sound card into express card slot and install drivers from CD and restart pc, my video card crash. resolution 640*480 4bit color. In device manager i disable realtek sound card. On VGA (geforce 8600GS) properties write that cannot find free resources Code 12. This is IRQ conflict and in BIOS no function, that I can change IRQ ports. How fix this problem? Maybe with 4 gb ram this sound card not working? on another HP pavilion with 2GB ram this card working. new drivers can't help.

    BIOS F. 23A current.
    OS: Vista home premium 32bit
    4 GB RAM
    Drivers are newest
Format or reinstall windows not help

in system information>> hardware resources>>conflicts/sharing I see that conflicts on IRQ16 are five. So i disable some hardware which use IRQ 16, restart pc and nothing. please help me :(

All I can think of is that your sound card is conflicting with your 4GB RAM in your 32-bit OS (which can only address 4GB, some of which is needed to map to hardware devices). It shouldn't do this, you should just lose a chunk of RAM, but Creative never has been very good at writing drivers. Upgrading to 64-bit Vista might fix things... or have different bugs. See the sticky in this forum if you want to attempt a clean Vista install. Check Creative's website for newer drivers first, that might be all you need.

Creative is known for having bad drivers, that deal very poorly with over 4 gigabytes of RAM. Take a look around on http://forums.creative.com -- you may find a solution there, perhaps under the Vista subforum.

How I can remove/disable 1gb ram of my 4gb ram? I use 32bit Vista ultimate, and my system see 3.69gb.

So, in my bios there are no function that I can disable 1gb ram.

perhaps there are some soft which can do it?

system with 3gb ram this card works
