I have a HP Pavillion dv9640us laptop i've had for about a month now.
Although I like it a lot it seems to run a bit slow. I noticed it has a ton of stuff running in the background which I am guessing has something to do with it running so slow. Unfortunatly I have no idea what some of the stuff running is.

If someone has a laptop like mine can you tell me what I absolutly need to have running in the background? It seems to me if and when I need to access anything else I should be able to do so as I need to use it. Until that time does it ALL need to run?

    Thanks for any help

if you could post a list of programs running on your computer by taking a screen shot of the task manager processes tab or something like that it might be more helpful. Or you can try to list them in a post.
