Recently just recieved a Compaq 6510b. It's a pretty sweet laptop. Business style and keyboard is comfortable to type.

One thing that is a bummer. NO WEBCAM. I looked around on ebay and came across webcam modules for laptops such as eye motions from Vaio's and 1.3 megapixel's from the Dell Inspirion models. 10-20 bucks for webcam module. 10 bucks for the cable.

I want to pursue a project to install a webcam in my 6510b. Just curious does the mobo underneath the keyboard have an expansion slot for something like a webcam?

Just finding that out b4 i undergo this operation.

    Thanks.

The integrated webcams are USB devices too. There should be an internal port somewhere... If not you can solder internally to one of the external ports, the downside obviously being that you won't be able to use it for other devices. Though using the "safely remove hardware" function might just work when you need the port for something else.
