I have a dv5-1002nr (dv5z) that has a 250GB SATA 5400 RPM Hard drive. The laptop also comes with the ProtectSmart drive monitor. I recently just re-imaged the hard drive from the HP Recovery discs to factory default settings. The ProtectSmart Tool worked, it showed that the drive supported the feature. However, now that I have all of my software installed, the ProtectSmart is showing that there is no supported drive installed.

I've tried upgrading/reinstalling the software, but no luck. Anybody know what to do?

[edit] I'm not sure at what point of the software installation that it lost support, but I do have diskeeper installed, and in my mind that should be the ONLY piece of software that could be possible of interfering with Protectsmart. Is this a reasonable assumption? [/edit]
