Here's the deal I just didn't get the chance today to research on this. After I instaled ubuntu 7.10 I no longer have any sound from my speaker's, and I tried follow the how to at the ubuntu forums, but that envy thing isn't working out for me, and i tried installing my nvidia driver's via restriced drivers it says nivida ??? xgl or something along those lines has has to be enabled.
Other than these two problems everything is working just fine for me.

So far so good I got my graphics card enabled, but now I'm trying to work out my sound. It still won't make a beep, i tried for a few hours last night no go...it might be something as simple as my graphics all I did was enable my proprietary drivers for devices in software sources and was able to install it via terminal commands. Can someone please help me out.
