Has anybody tried installing an Intel Extreme Quad Core QX9300 or Dual Core X9100 CPU in HP DV5t? Does the DV5t support QX9300? (I know HP HDX 18 supports QX9300).

On a side note can you overclock the GeForce 9600M GT (using RivaTuner or something)?

What is the highest 3DMark06 score in a DV5t?

Heard the cooling system for the HP dv5t isn't looking good, so I wouldn't stick a 45W TDP processor in it or OC the GPU. I would recommend applying thermal grease, I'm sure it would help drop the load temps by 5-10 deg, depending on how the stock stuff is applied.

The 9600m GT in the dv5t's are DDR2 memory. Its performs just a little better than the 8600m GT DDR3
