I was wondering if anyone knows if quadcores will be able to be supported in the futre via a BIOS update o n the NC8430?

Will the Quadcores be a compeltly different architecture?

No, quad core notebook processors won't be available until at least the end of '08 and even then, they will use different sockets that are not compatible with today's motherboards.

As CeeNote said, the quad cores for notebooks won't be out until at least the end of 2008, or later.

Other than upgrading to a faster Core 2 Duo - any other upgrade options are non existant.
