I just bought a zt3000.. andto my surprise it does not have a floppy disk drive, I thought that was std equip!
Can I add one? is there any other way to store info I'd like to use it to be able to copy word files and print w/ another comp
Any suggestions are appreciated!

you can buy an external floppy drive, hp sells one for $50.
or you can buy a USB thumb/keychain drive, which comes in many sizes (128 & 256MB being the most popular). It'll work in basically any comp that has a USB connection. -
Most computers now-a-days do not have floppy drives. When I build desktops anymore unless there is specific reason I don't put one in either. They are for the most part obsolete pieces of equipment. I have one in mine only because some teachers required we turn stuff in to them on it. Other than that I just use email, network drives, or the great usb thumb drives. I have a 128mb thumb drive that is smaller, faster and can carry way more data than a floppy. Also, I don't trust floppies because they are more prone to lose data stored on them.
I would recommend just getting the thumb drive and it will automatically work in pretty much any computer running either windows xp or 2000 without adding any drivers even. Most come with a driver cd in case you want to use your stick on a computer using windows 98. -
Floppies became non-standard over a year ago. You can use infrared, various types of flash memory cards, USB floppy drives, bluetooth, CDRW, DVDRW, networks, web file sharing, email or a myriad of other types of storage devices to share files between computers. I think you'll find you can survive without a floppy [
