Does anyone not like the glossy feel and the way this laptops touchpad is?

I know its a dumb question but I dont know how to word it. My friend has this laptop and whenever I try to use the touchpad the cursor goes crazy. Is it cuase of the glossy thing or would it just be the sensitivity.

The "touchpad goes crazy" problem seemed to be present in earlier HP DV2000s. HP seems to have fixed it now. The glossy feel, however, is still there, but it's more of a personal preference inconvenience than a defect.

I see... when were these early models released??? I ask since he bought his about 2 months ago

Does the glossy touchpad annoy anyone? For example of your hands are sweaty does it become hard to move it? Or does one get use to it fairly quickly

It doesn't particularly bother me, but I prefer using an external mouse anyway. I got a Logitech bluetooth mouse for use with mine. Occasionally loses connection but I read on here that I need to uninstall Logitech's bluetooth software and the controls built in.

Same here. I just purchased my 2nd Logitech wireless mouse (vx) and really like them both!

Get yourself the dv2000, pick up a Logitech wireless mouse, and don't worry about it! The dv2000 is a great machine!

(By the way, when I travel and don't use the wireless mouse, I don't have any problem with the built in touchpad, but maybe it's a personal matter)

    Good luck!
