The same model and spec ordered via HP is currently $604.39 (ADP) and 669.99 (retail) with free shipping and both include a free upgrade to a high capacity 6 cell battery ($25) that the OfficeMax unit does not include. I'll leave it to you to decide if the unit you're looking at is a good deal or not but my advice would be if at all possible look for a unit with a "P" series processor. It will run much cooler and have significantly better battery life.

We paid $728 over the holidays last year for my daughters DV4t (specs below) and it's done very very well. No gaming (except Zoo Tycoon 2 :) ) but does the occasional video or picture edit with no lag. So far we're very pleased with it.

You can often get a much better speced custom order unit directly from HP by using the coupons that are offered from time to time. 30%...$40% off.

And more over if you want to save some more money...if you have a bank of America account, then you can use their add it up program which gives you 5% cash back from HP. (there are other retailers too)
I just bought dv4t for about 900$ configured from HP site using my bank of America add it up program and got back 5% ie 40$ cash back :)
