    Question about RAM

    Hi everyone,

    I just bought a Compaq Presario V2575, which supposedly comes with 1 gig of RAM (1024 MB), but when I check System Properties (right clicking on My Computer), it claims that I have 896 MB. Am I missing something here? :confused:

    I'd say you're missing 128MB of Ram.

    Did you look inside the bottom of the box??? :eek:

    Okay let me see. Download AIDA32. This progam tells you exactly what you have installed. It really goes into depth. See if it says you have 1GB. Otherwise HP could have messed up.

    Maybe your Xpress 200m is taking up 128mb?

    That has to be it. The x200 takes system ram. That would explain the loss of 128MB.
