Hi everyone, I made a few posts about my zv6000 in the main thread. I was mostly happy with it except for it not being able to play games. The screen used to look perfect. But now all of a sudden I power it up and there is one pixel in the center that is super bright! It's like it just appeared. So I have a couple of questions. Is this considered a dead pixel? It's not black or colorless, just really bright. Is there anyway for me to fix it?

I'd rather just RMA this laptop to Techdepot whether I get my money back or a new one, but I already cut out the UPC and sent it in for the rebate. Has anyone successfully (or unsuccessfully) tried to return merchandise to Techdepot without a UPC or box?

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

You've got a stuck pixel. You may be able to gently massage it and make it go away (or so I've read - never actually had to try it). As for RMA after submitting the rebate, you'll have to convince them somehow that you're doing an exchange. They'll need to make sure you're not double-dipping on the rebates. Just ask - they should be able to make it right.

can you massage a pixel on an LCD with the "brightveiw" option? Seems like there would be a hard glass screen cover in the way, eh. I don't know, just askin.
