    Question about dv6 fan noise

    Hi guys,

    My girlfriend is thinking about buying a new notebook and the dv6 is alot of bang for the buck. The model specs are:
    HP Pavilion DV6-6141 Core i7-2630QM 8GB 750GB 15.6 W7HP HD6770M (Silver)

    Her only consern is the noise levels from the fan. We've checked out some videos onn youtube and the oise is quite loud. However all the videos seem to be the older (black) versions and in this video somone commented "the new HP laptops 2011 are now ok they fixed it" about two months ago.

    So anyone know if the fan noise is lower in the silver models?

    That's true, the new dv6 61xx series with the introduction of Coolsense, is very quiet.

    For normal usage like browsing, listen to music or watching movie, the fan is really quiet..

    the fan is quiet when browsing the internet, watching movies, etc
    but when playing games its kinda loud, if u use headphones u wont notice it though
