    Question about second hard drive bay on dv9000 series notebooks.

    I would like to buy a second hard drive for this notebook. Is it possible to only activate the second hard drive when storing information? I would not want the extra noise of a second hard drive running constantly.

    I think there's an option in the BIOS but that's it. From Windows you can set the HDD to turn off when not used but I haven't seen separate power managements for two HDDs.
