Hello Current i just purchased a Bronze DV4-1220us from Micro Center for 584.99
I currently has the AMD Turion X2 Dual core RM-72
And the ATI Radeon 3200 Installed

The Problem is when i play wow on my laptop the top left corner gets really hot and the fan blows forever even after the game is closed

My question is should I return this model and order the DV3 or DV4 on the hp Website with the \GeForce 105M card will the laptop run cooler a bit and is the upgrade worth the extra 300 dollars for my order. Thanks

I would, but that's just me.

I would get the DV3 or the DV4 with an Intel P-series CPU and the 105M. I think it would be money well spent, it would definitely run cooler and give you better performance. You wouldn't need to spend an extra $300 by the way. $200 would do the trick and more, maybe even less, just remember to use the coupons.

Just so you know, you can look into under-volting your CPU. Do a search on the forums and you will find the guide, it will lower your temps when you're pushing your CPU.

The intel P series cpu will use less power and will be faster than amd.
however geforce 105m will use more power than ati 3200 integrated since 105m is dedicated entry lvl card.

so i would think it will be somewhat similar in overall temperature wise but intel with geforce will be much faster for games

i would choose intel over amd for now
