    I know, stupid question, but does the retail units come with the HP stickers attached to them? Just wondering. [ :D]

    By "HP stickers", do you mean the HP jewels that appear on the outside of the LCD lid and below the LCD when open? If that's what you're referring to, then yes. All HP laptops are labeled with the HP jewel emblems.

    Yes, there are advertisement stickers on the laptop. Mostly listing the features of the laptop...
    (My r3340us had 1 sticker listing the specs & another one showing the advantages of widescreen)
    They can be removed easily.

    whats best place to get a good deal on hp notebooks? i am looking to buy hp pavilion dv4000.
    Costco has it for $1299 1.73GHz Intel Centrino, 15.4" screen, 1GB mem, 80GB HD, DVDRW, 6.5 lbs. I am not sure how much of a better deal I could possibly get elsewhere. This pretty much the configuration I am looking for

    Dell publishes coupons regularly and its see on sites like edealinfo.com. Does HP/Compaq have such patron sites for me to work out a better deal?

    I would really appreciate your tips

    i think some stickers are cool. they let other people know how 1337 your computer is [ :p]
