    Hey everyone,

I bought a HP dv6327cl a couple of days ago. It came with a cool remote. On the right side of my laptop, there is a slot that has an icon on it that is also on my remote. Can I store my remote in this place or is it designed for something else? Someone on this forum said, "The remote clicks in to the ExpressCard slot for secure storage." Does this have anything to do with what I'm talking about? Some help would be nice. By the way, right now my remote is stored in a little zip lock baggy. (LOL!)

    Photographer,

I have a dv2125nr that also has a remote and it does slide wright in the Express Card slot. When you slide the remote in just give it a little extra push and it will click in place. When you are going to use it just push it back a little and it will unclick and slide wright out.

Do what? I'm supposed to post photos of my new laptop? Can't I use stock photos off of websites instead of my own?

How do I insert the remote into the slot? Do I push a button or what? Is there something that I pull out of the slot or what?

    you guys are such noobs....

(Remove the 'dummy' plastic express card first)

Insert the remote with the side that has buttons upward.

Gently push the remote into the slot.

Continue push the remote all the way in until you feel a click sensation as the remote is now docked inside by spring.

To get it out. Simply push the remote until it pops out.

    Good Luck

its been ages since i did that but if u push it in it might pop out. once you take that out, put the remote in with the narrower side (the side that doesnt have the IR plastic) in with the buttons facing upward.

it should have come with instructions with the remote when you opened it, mine did.

I want to be careful not to break anything. My remote came with a tiny piece of paper but it didn't say anything about how to insert it into the side of the laptop. It just showed you how to insert the battery into the remote. That's just about it.

why dont u gently push the plastic piece in the slot in and see if it pops out

cuz when u have the remote in there thats how you take it out, by pushing in and it pops out

    Laptops are pretty sturdy...

Just give a push on the plastic piece and it will pop out, like everyone has said.

Then push your remote in. It takes a little pressure since its a sort of spring.
    Experiment a little man =P

On my dv9000t, the plastic was a stuck inside the slot, and I had to give it some help. It bent a retaining pin inside (nothing needed for the actual express card to work), and I used a small screwdriver to bend it back. Just saying that it's possible it might be stuck in there.
